The new millennium opens the doors to Internet, the medium that has experienced exponential growth until today .. even in terms of socially useful applications!
The first personal computers were like old cars in museum, static and not connected ..
In fact destined to a narrow niche of fans, however, remained machines in their own right, with almost no utility for the average user .
With the advent of the Internet all CHANGE! From the first analogic modems .. and then the arrive of broadband, by a computer today you have access to an ocean of information, in a parallel virtual world, where every product and service is available !
In this view Internet is an incredible communication medium ... indeed is the first medium of communication in the world!
By the network you can meet people in every place of the globe, you can shop all thing, research, you can share photos and videos, manage an activity, play in the stock market, and even you can remote control of other devices of real world (such as a cam video surveillance).
We live in a very fast changing world .. the speed with which new technology products born is impressive!

Yet i know several people (especially over 50 :-) very reluctant to these changes, doubtful and suspicious, if they could they come back to pen and ink ..
In fact, the Internet also conceals negative aspects, not so much for the tool itself that is, as for the misuse that we can do ..
A further expansion of the network occurred in more recent times with access also of other types of devices that are not necessarily computer / notebook: I'm talking about smartphones, tablets and even televisions ..
And being able to have access to the network from a mobile device means having virtually any type of information in your pocket !!
The Internet is revolutionizing the way we relate with others..but also with youself: you can create one, ten, a thousand different virtual identity ... here in this sense the old "One, none, a hundred thousand" of Pirandello is a concrete right in the world of the Internet: for example you can be one and have your nice facebook profile, or be present in a network with a thousand different aliases and profiles, reflecting, in that context, the desire to be something different ..!
So in this case, the Internet is having a social truly remarkable impact ... and what started as only a technological revolution .. now it is becoming even psychological and social revolution!
